Grant J. Stetzler, 86, of Lyons, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Kutztown Manor where he resided since June 1st. He was the husband of Helen R. (Heffner) Stetzler. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 1, 2006.
Born in Shoemakersville, Berks County, he was the son of the late Guy and Edna (Fields) Stetzler. He worked for over 30 years as a forge press operator at Carpenter Technology, Reading, retiring in 1984. He was 50 year member of Huguenot Lodge #377, F. & A.M., Kutztown. He was a member of Consistory and Rajah Shrine, Reading. He was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Rockland Twp.
He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Jane L. (Stetzler) wife of Marlowe G. Leibensperger of Kutztown, Son, Steven G. husband of Diane E (Jones) Stetzler of Warminster; Step Sister, Elsie (Stetzler) Deibert of Fleetwood; Step Brothers, John Stetzler of Shoemakersville, Donald Stetzler of Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Marlowe G. Leibensperger Jr., Eric M. Leibensperger, Victoria Stetzler, Steven Stetzler, Predeceased Grandson Brian Leibensperger.
Funeral Services are Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 10:30 AM from Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Rd., Fleetwood. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Thursday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Rd., Fleetwood, 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
