Jacob A. Lutz, Jr.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of my old classmate Jack. I knew him as a natural leader without fear. In elementary school, he was the ultimate authority on stock car racing and model building. If you built a model car and brought it to school, it was subject to Jack's inspection.

We didn't travel in the same circles later on, but we did have a fun day together at Great Adventure during our high school years, with baboons clambering all over his Mom's car, demanding candy bars. Jack was more eager to ride the roller coasters than I was, even though he was the one with the heart condition. We got lost on the way home, but that was fun, too.

Clearly Jack was a successful and active husband and father. I pray that God may give all of you comfort and courage. Jacob and Adam, keep your father in your hearts and continue to make him proud!
