Dean was one of the first few guys that I got to know when I started working at Deka. At first he didn't say much, which is normal treatment for a new guy. One day I told him about a pile of 2x4's that were on a dock that I had been working on because I knew he was collecting them to build tree stands. Since that day, he was one of the friendliness guys that I worked with. You could always count on seeing Dean with a smile and a wave and when you got the chance, he was just the nicest guy to talk to. I always respected his opinion about matters dealing with work and trucking; because I knew he had so many years of experience. Seeing the reaction of the guys that he worked with after this tragedy was a testament to how much he was loved by those guys, which surely reaches in all directions of his life. My deepest sympathy.
