Thomas W. Semmel
Thomas W. Semmel, 90, of Upper Macungie Township, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in the Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township. He was the husband of the late Norma M. (Marshall) who died on January 29, 2000.
Born in Fullerton, PA he was a son of the late Thomas W., Sr. and Edna (Snyder) Semmel. Since 1945 he was employed at the former Hager’s Men’s Store, Hamilton Street, Allentown, becoming the owner in 1976 and continuing to work until his retirement in 1981.
He is survived by 4 Nieces and 2 Nephews. He was predeceased by a Sister, Althea (Semmel) Kucharik, wife of Michael Kucharik, Orefield and Sister, Mary (Semmel) widow of David Storch. Mary passed away today. There is also a predeceased brother Richard Semmel.
Graveside Services are Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:30 PM in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. There are no calling hours.
The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
