Stanley W. Radcliffe

Stanley W. Radcliffe, 89, of Mertztown, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 in his family residence. He was the husband of Dorothy K. (Dankel) Radcliffe. They were married June 4, 1938.

Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Charles S. and Gertrude H. (Miller) Radcliffe. He was a partner over 60 years of Radcliffe Brother Market, Inc., Mertztown until his retirement in 1982. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Lehigh Lodge #326, F.& A.M., Trexlertown; Rajah Shrine, Reading, and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Allentown. He was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Robin C. (Radcliffe) wife of William R. Yellets, Mertztown; Sons, Stanley M. widower of Ruth M. (Moyer) Radcliffe, Mertztown, Ronald C. “Manny” husband of Margo A. (Wendell) Radcliffe, Mertztown; 12 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by Sister, Miriam C. (Radcliffe) Reinert; Brother Charles E. Radcliffe, and a Granddaughter.

There will be a public viewing Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown, followed by private inurnment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown.

The family requests contributions be made to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 50, Mertztown, PA 19539-0050. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
