Shirley E. Bollinger
Shirley E. Bollinger, 73, of Kutztown, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bern Township.
Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late George and Esther (DeTurk) Stauffer. She worked in the accounts receivable department at East Penn Manufacturing, Lyons Station for 20 years last working in October. Shirley was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church Kutztown. She was a 1953 Graduate of Kutztown Area High School.
She is survived by Daughter, Jill L. (Adam) wife of Bryan A. Kapsa of Blandon; Son, Steve G. husband of Karen A. (Schwarz) Bollinger of Spring City, PA; Sisters, Dorothy (Stauffer) widow of Paul Rettew of Shillington and Evelyn (Stauffer) wife of William D. Scholl of Kutztown; 3 Grandchildren, Ciara N. Kapsa, Kaedyn P. Bollinger and Simone J. Bollinger.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Inurnment Friday December 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. Friends and relatives may call Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
The family requests contributions be made in Shirley’s memory to the American Cancer Society. 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
