Russell D. Reimert
Russell D. Reimert, 85, of South Laurel St., died Saturday, August 13, 2005, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Marian E. (Herman) Reimert and widower of Ethel N. (Blew) Reimert who died October 6, 1962.
Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Roy J. and Cora A. (Stern) Reimert. He was a sheet metal worker from 1959 to 1982 at the former AT&T and Lucent Technologies plants, Reading. He was an Army veteran of WWII receiving a Purple Heart in 1945. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Ziegel’s Union Church, Breinigsville.
He is survived by Wife, Daughter-in-law Brenda L. (Schaeffer) Wagaman of Mertztown; 4 Step Grandchildren, 4 Step Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his Step Son, Donald P. Wagaman who, died April 11, 2003.
Funeral Services are Wednesday August 17, 2005 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home 333 Greenwich Street Kutztown. Interment in Ziegel’s Union Church Cemetery, with military honors. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The family requests contributions to the Ziegel’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 9990 Ziegel’s Church Road, Breinigsville, 18031. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
