Robert C. Mengel
Robert C. Mengel, 66, of Tower Road, Mertztown, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Charlotte L. (Madeira) Mengel. They were married on June 18, 1960.
Born in Topton, he was a son of the late William E. and Gertrude M. (Eisenhard) Mengel. He was a laborer at the former Kutztown Shoe Company, Kutztown, for over 40 years and a self employed flea market operator.
He is survived by Wife, Sons, Michael R. husband of Jo-Lyn (Dierolf) Mengel, Topton, Jeffrey R. Mengel, Kutztown; Sisters, Arlene D. Mengel and Dorothy A. Mengel both of Mertztown; Grandchildren, Desiree N. Mengel, Brittany L. Mengel, Courtney L. Mengel and Brandon L. Mengel. He was predeceased by Sister, Carol D. (Mengel) Blew and Step Sister, Gladys (Mengel) Sawyer.
Funeral Services are Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
