Robert B. Hoffman, Sr.

Robert B. Hoffman, Sr., 76, of Haddon Drive, Macungie, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown, where he had been a patient since October 15th. He was the husband of Florence V. (Moser) Hoffman. They were married on June 3, 1956.

Born in Hereford Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Wayne and Annie (Meitzler) Hoffman. He was a supervisor at Mulberry Hill Orchard, Barto, for over 40 years retiring in 2005, but continued to work part time until his death. He was a member of the Hereford Gun Club and the Pike Township Sportsman’s Association. He was an avid hunter and loved dirt track racing.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Sandra D. (Hoffman) Smits, Macungie, Pamela J. (Hoffman) Fegley, Alburtis, Susan K. (Hoffman) Fridinger, Topton; Sons, Donald R. husband of Shirley A. (Woodland) Hoffman, Barto, Robert B. Hoffman, Jr., Macungie; Sister, Edith (Hoffman) wife of Robert Rothrock, Macungie; Brothers, Charles husband of Mary (Geiger) Hoffman, Hereford, Preston Hoffman, Pennsburg, Earl Hoffman, Alburtis; 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Monday, October 27, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

The family requests contributions to the Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 South 12th Street, Allentown , PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
