Rita F. Rehrig
Rita F. Rehrig, 60, of Hill Road, Kutztown, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the widow of Charles E. Mengel, who died on January 24, 1971.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey W. L. Miller, Sr. and the late Elmira (Weidner) Miller. She worked in housekeeping at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center from 1998, last working on February 11th; prior to that she worked in the shipping department of the former T & H Fashions and the dietary department at Kutztown Manor, both of Kutztown. Mrs. Rehrig was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #839, Ladies Auxiliary, Kutztown, the Kutztown Fire Company and the Pikeville Sportsman’s Association.
She is survived by Daughter, Susan K. (Mengel) wife of Donald F. Christ, Kutztown; Sisters, Eleanor (Miller) widow of Richard Kline, Alburtis, Dianne (Miller) wife of Lee Bieber, Mertztown; Brothers, Frances husband of Nancy Miller, White Haven, Luzerne County, Anthony husband of Linda Miller, Birdsboro, Karl “Smiley” husband of Lorraine Miller, Macungie, Kenneth husband of Heidi Miller, Mertztown; Half Brother William husband of Stephanie Miller, Breinigsville, and Sister-in-law Brenda Miller, Alburtis, wife of predeceased brother Harvey “Stormy” Miller.
Funeral Services are Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street Topton. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
