Mae M. Adam
Mae M. Adam, 75, of Maidencreek Township, formerly of Windsor Township, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading where she was a patient one day. She was the wife of Wayne A. Adam. They were married March 29, 1958.
Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Victor J. and Helen (Schucker) Mertz. She was a member of Salem E.C. Church, Lenhartsville. She was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Woman’s Guild. She and her husband operated a dairy farm in Windsor Township over forty years until their retirement in 1999.
She is survived by Husband; Daughter, Elaine M. (Adam) wife of David S. Ruppert, Hamburg; Sisters, Mildred (Mertz) wife of Gerald Seidel, and Helen (Mertz) wife of Albert Leiby, both of Kutztown; Brothers, Larry L. husband of Carol (Fitzgerald) Mertz and Harold C. husband of Linda (Adams) Mertz, both of Fleetwood. In addition, there are 5 Grandchildren, Rebecca L. (Ruppert) wife of Matthew T. Noecker, Jonathan D. husband of Timber R. (Seitzinger) Ruppert, Matthew S., Jared L. and Daniel J Ruppert; 2 Great Grandchildren, Rachael E. and Travis M. Noecker.
Funeral Services are Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Becker’s Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
