Larry A. Engstrom

Larry A. Engstrom, 68, of Virginville, died Friday, October 23, 2009 in his residence. He was the husband of Kay (Kathryn) A. (Haney) Engstrom. They were married November 25, 1959.

Born in Harrisville, OH, he was a son of the late John and Hazel (Donley) Engstrom. He was a career US Navy veteran of 20 years. He served during the Viet Nam era. After his retirement from the US Navy, he worked as a mail sorter for 29 years with the US Postal Service in the Lehigh Valley Postal Distribution Center until his retirement in 2008. Larry enjoyed his family, traveling and was avid deep sea fisherman.

He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Teresa A. (Engstrom) wife of Keene N. Kramer, Fleetwood and Tanya A. (Engstrom) wife of David Witkus, Auburn, Schuylkill County; Son, Trent A. Engstrom, Atlanta, GA; Sisters, Betty (Engstrom) Applegate, Spring Hill, Fla., and Peggy (Engstrom) Cionni, Cincinnati, OH; Brother, Jack Engstrom, Spokane, Wash. In addition, there are 3 Grandchildren, Nicole A. (Kramer) wife of Justin Yuengel, Daniel J. and Nathan T. Witkus, and Great Grandchildren, Faith P. and Tyler O. Yuengel. He was predeceased by seven siblings.

A Memorial Gathering is Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests contributions be made to Covenant Home Care Hospice, 2615 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, 19606-2001. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
