Kermit C. Hilbert

Kermit C. Hilbert, 83, of Macungie, died peacefully Saturday, November 1, 2008 in Manor Care, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Ella E. (Geisinger) Hilbert who died December 8, 1992.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, he was the son of the late Frederick C. and Stella (Miller) Hilbert. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Shipping Supervisor for 30 years at the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, retiring in 1987.

He is survived by Daughters, Barbara A. (Hilbert) wife of James C. Fair, Fleetwood, Cindy L. (Hilbert) wife of Wayne E. Wetzel, Macungie, Diane L. (Hilbert) Gilbert companion of Robert W. Bennecoff, Mertztown; Son, Alan C. husband of Audrey A. (Coldren) Hilbert, Roanoke, VA.; Sisters, Carrie M. (Hilbert) Amig, Luther Meadows, Betty A. (Hilbert) Amig, Luther Meadows. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment with military honors provided by Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
