Jean L. Acker
Jean L. Acker, age 78, of the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton PA, formerly of Woodside Avenue, Mertztown PA, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading PA. She was the Widow of the late Carl R. Acker who died in 1989.
Born in Topton PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard D. and Mamie A. (Latchaw) Weil. She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Ziegel's Union Church, Breinigsville PA. She was employed at her family's former business, R. D. Weil's Potato Chips, Topton, for 10 years. She was also a Cake Decorator in her home for many years.
She is survived by her Daughters, Judy L. (Acker) Sechler of Mertztown PA and Susan J. (Acker) Spayd of Bowers PA; Son, Richard C. Acker of Reading PA; Brother, Raymond R. Weil of Topton PA; 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter and 1 Step Great Grandson.
Private Graveside Services at the convenience of the Family. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood PA. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Topton PA.
