Irene M. Rhoads
Irene M. “Dody” (Burghardt) Rhoads, 72, of Kutztown, died Friday, October 12, 2007 in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Rodney A. Rhoads, a resident of Kutztown Manor. They were married June 18, 1956.
Born in Denver, Colorado, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Urban) Burghardt. She worked in the cafeteria at Kutztown University from 1993 to 1995. She was a member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ Church, Kutztown.
She is survived by Husband; Daughters, Karen A. (Rhoads) wife of Eric L. Pannebecker, Fleetwood, Tammy L. (Rhoads) wife of Leroy C. Stoudt, Kutztown; Sisters, Rose (Burghardt) Capra, and Marge (Burghardt) DeJulio, both of Denver, Colorado. There are also three Grandchildren, Cory S. and Melissa A. Pannebecker, Christopher C. Stoudt.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 10:30 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
