Helen M. Kurtz

Helen M. Kurtz, 87, of Saucony Road, Kutztown (Richmond Township), died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading, where she had been a patient since November 15th. She was the wife of Richard K. Kurtz. They were married on February 7, 1942.

Born in Hamburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. and the late Elsie P. (Stitzel) Koenig. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer and den mother for Cub Scout Pack #116, Kutztown, and was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts at Camp Edmar, Kutztown. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

She is survived by Husband, Sons, Kenneth R. Kurtz, Boyertown, William R. Kurtz, Sr., Fleetwood, Daniel A. Kurtz, Kutztown, Jeffrey L. Kurtz, at home; Brother, Leon W. Koenig, Forestville, MD; 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Daughter, Sandra M. (Kurtz) Reinhard, September 6, 2005.

Funeral Services are Monday, November 28, 2005 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Sunday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
