Gloria J. Schlegel
Gloria J. Schlegel, 69, of Foch Street, Kutztown, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where she was admitted earlier in the day. She was the wife of Jay M. Schlegel. They were married on January 23, 1960.
Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Minnie (Day) Sterner. She was an enveloper at East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, from 1976 until her retirement in 2000. Her memberships included the Pikeville Sportsman’s Association and the Pagoda Beamers Club, Reading.
She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Heidi M. (Ketner) wife of Grant D. Doerrman and Brother, Franklin husband of Susan (Wendling) Sterner, both of Fleetwood. She was predeceased by Brothers, William, Robert and David and Sisters, Betty and Mabel.
Memorial Services are Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Inurnment in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
