Fern A. Bertram
Fern A. Bertram, 92, formerly of Woodland Plaza Apartments, Reading, and the Heilman House, Topton, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the wife of the late Francis G. Bertram who died on April 3, 1965.
Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late William A. and Rebecca F. (Schaefer) Westley. She was a 1933 graduate of Reading High School. She was an office clerk at Sears, Roebuck & Company, Wyomissing, for 19 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Reading, and Grace Lutheran Church, Topton.
She is survived by Sons, Raymond W. Bertram, Bethlehem, Donald W. Bertram, Reading; 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 10:30 AM in Hope Lutheran Church, 550 Fleetwood Road, Bowers. Interment in Maidencreek Union Cemetery, Blandon. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
