Ernest D. Conrad

Ernest D. Conrad, 92, of Eagle Drive, Emmaus, formerly of Macungie, died Friday, May 28, 2004, in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th & Chew Sts., Allentown, where he was a patient since Thursday, May 20, 2004. He was married to Helen D. (Hoffman) Conrad, they were married 73 years last June.

Born in Lower Macungie Twp., Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Charles and the late Queena (Schmoyer) Conrad. He was employed by Caloric Corp., Topton, for several years as a molder. He then owned and operated the former Conrad’s Well Drilling, Macungie. During the same time he owned and operated Conrad’s Mobile Home Park, now Oppenheimer’s Mobile Home Park, Lower Magungie Twp., Lehigh County. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.

He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Joyce D. (Conrad) Diehl, Allentown, Joan R. (Conrad) Heffner, Allentown, Nancy F. (Conrad) Hoffman, Wescosville, Lehigh County; Brother, Glenroy Conrad, Macungie; Sisters, Dorothy (Conrad) Drumheller, Oley, Rhea (Conrad) Reifinger, Wescosville, Lehigh County; 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Private Interment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, (Hereford Twp.). Friends may call Wednesday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contributions to the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th & Chew Sts., P.O. Box 7017, Allentown, 18105. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
