Elsie L. Epting

Elsie L. Epting, 95, formerly of Topton, died Friday, June 26, 2009, in Macungie, PA in the residence of her daughter, Patricia, with whom she resided. She was the widow of the late Luther T. Epting, who died August 3, 1961.

Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Annie (Schnable) Younger. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton, PA, where she was a member of the alter guild. She was a member of the Kutztown and Lyons Fire Company ladies’ auxiliaries. She worked as a collator in the print shop of Caloric Corporation, Topton, PA for fourteen years, retiring in 1978.

She is survived by Daughters, Betty L. (Epting) Hertzog, Mertztown, Patricia C.A. (Epting) wife of Cartlon F. Andrews, Macungie, Kay R. (Epting) wife of Dennis G. Evans, Topton, PA; Sons, Leonard L., husband of Karen J. (Gambler) Epting, Mertztown, Barry L. husband of Barbara J. (Burger) Epting, Topton, PA. She was pre-deceased by a Daughter, Doris L. (Epting) Stevens February 23, 2000. There are also 17 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:30 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue and Smith Street, Topton, PA. Inurnment will be in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 37 Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
