Elsie I. Wendling Dreibelbis

Elsie I. Wendling Dreibelbis, 87, formerly of Longswamp Township, Berks County, died Monday, July 6, 2009 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was wife of the late Jay A. “Nick” Dreibelbis who died on January 27, 2007. Her first husband, Franklin H. Wendling, Sr. died on December 7, 1979.

Born in Macungie, PA she was a daughter of the late Edgar L. and Lizzie K. (Meck) Rhoads. She was a member of Longswamp UCC Church, Mertztown. She was a folder at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for 25 years retiring in 1982.

She is survived by Sons, Franklin H., Jr., husband of Dianne L. (Reitz) Wendling, Schnecksville, Robert W. Wendling, Topton; Daughter, Susan J. (Wendling) wife of Franklin G. Sterner, Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Scott F. Wendling, Mark A. Wendling, Michael S. Sterner, Linda A. Sterner, Tracy L. (Wendling) Angstadt, Marcy R. (Wendling) Morstatt and Timothy R. Wendling; Great Grandchildren, Matthew Wendling, Andrew Wendling, Ashley Sterner, Katelyn Sterner, Jacob Sterner, Courtney Sterner, Andrea Angstadt, Shelby Angstadt, Courtney Morstatt, and Cody Morstatt.

Funeral Services are Friday, July 10, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
