Elda M. Ritz
Elda M. Ritz, 86, of Railroad Street East, Lyons died Friday, September 15, 2006 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the wife of Raymond R. Ritz who she married on August 12, 1939.
Born in Rockland Twp., Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer F. and Beulah H. (Ruppert) Angstadt. She worked for 13 years as a silk weaver for the former Topton Silk Mill, Topton, for 7 years at the former Leininger’s Hosiery Mill, Lyons as a knitter, and for 6 years last working as head cook at the Lutheran Home at Topton retiring in 1980. She was a volunteer in the Lyons Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Rockland Twp.
She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Joannne L. wife of Edgar M. Ewing of Fleetwood. She was predeceased by her brothers, Isaac L., Alvin J., Russell L. and Donald M.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
