Edith M. Vanek
Edith M. Vanek, 81, of Kutztown, and a resident at Grandview Manor since October of 2008 died Thursday, April 16, 2009 in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bern Township, shortly after admission. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Vanek who died on October 16, 2002.
Born in Camden, NJ she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Anne (Oliver) Klusman. She was a graduate of Collingswood High School, Collingswood, NJ. She was a member of St. John’s UCC Church, Kutztown.
She is survived by Daughters, Yvonne M. wife of Cy Rathbun, California, Cynthia M. wife of Dan Dennie, Greeley, CO, Patty M. wife of Eric Zubia, Allentown; Sons, Gregory J. Vanek, Hummelstown, David J. husband of Mary Jean Vanek, Melbourne, FL, Joseph J. Vanek, Jr., West Chester, Timothy husband of Renee Vanek, Kutztown, Stephen J. Vanek, Wilmingon, DE; Sisters, Dorothy wife of Ray Lex, California, Shirley wife of Hal Jagoditsch, WA; Brother, Joseph husband of Edna Klusman, Auburn; 14 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
