Earlene G.CressmanEarlene G. Cressman, 83, of East Smith Street, Topton, died Sunday, September 12, 2004, in her residence. She was married to the late Maynard Cressman who died March 15, 1998.

Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Earl F. and the late Annetta I. (Snyder) Ruch. She owned and operated The Old Curiosity Shop, Topton, for many years until her retirement in the early 1990’s. She also worked as a clerk, from 1965 to 1968 at the former Smith’s Pharmacy, Topton. In addition, she was secretary and bookkeeper for C. & M. Design Company, Fullerton, Lehigh County, a company owned by her late husband. She was a 1938 graduate of Allentown High School. She was a member of the Topton Women’s Club, Topton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton, where she also served as a Vacation Bible School Teacher for several years.

She is survived by Son, Maynard L. Cressman, (Maxatawny Twp.) Kutztown; Daughters, Patricia A. (Cressman) wife of David H. Van Billiard, Topton, Deborah S. Cressman, wife of Jeffrey A. Franko, Alexandria, VA; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Friday, September 24, 2004, at 10:30 AM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue and East Smith Street, Topton. Interment is private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem, 18017-2100. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
