Dorothy H. Eckert
Dorothy H. Eckert, 85, formerly of Saucony Cross, Kutztown, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown, where she resided since October 3, 2005.
Born in Lyons, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ammon L. and the late Amelia B. (Hoppes) Eckert. She worked as an examiner in several area textile manufacturing companies, retiring from the former KATOS Sportswear, Kutztown after 10 years, in 1986. She was a member of New Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Fleetwood (Rockland Twp.), where she was former treasurer of the Sunshine Society and Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Sunday School Teacher and Choir member for many years.
She is survived by Sister, Eleanor H. (Eckert) wife of Earl H. Schaeffer, Fleetwood (Rockland Twp.); several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services are at the convenience of the family in Frieden’s Cemetery, Oley. There are no calling hours.
The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of New Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 33 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
