Charles H. Oswald
Charles H. Oswald, age 87, of 26 E. Smith Street, Topton PA, died Sunday, December 9, 2001 in his home. He was the Husband of Virginia M. (Dry) Oswald. The couple celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary last December.
Born in Topton PA, he was the Son of the late Daniel L. and Katie L. (DeLong) Oswald. He was a Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. He was a Mechanic for the former Grim Motor Company in Topton for 20 years and last worked as a Truck Mechanic for the Caloric Corporation at the former Topton Plant for 20 years before retiring in 1984. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during World War II.
He is survived by his Wife; Daughter, Christine M. (Oswald) Heiter of Kutztown PA; Son, Thomas D. Oswald of Mertztown PA; Brother, Warren J. Oswald of Mertztown PA; Step Sister, Mae (Oswald) Orth of Allentown PA; Step Brother, Warren a. Rohrbach of Topton PA; and 3 Grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2001 in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weiss Street, Topton. Family and Friends may call 9:30 AM Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Maxatawny Union Cemetery with Military Honors.
