Arlene E. Hertzog
Arlene E. Hertzog, 96, of the Phoebe Home, Allentown, formerly of Home Road, Mertztown, died Monday, July 30, 2007 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Percy A. Hertzog who died on February 12, 1955 and the companion of the late James Fegely.
Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Laura M. (Reichert) DeLong. She was a custodian and housekeeper at the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, from 1956 retiring in 1975; Prior to that she worked at the former Silk Mill, Topton, for 13 years. She was a member Christ (DeLong) UCC Church, Bowers.
She is survived by Nieces, Althea C. Moyer, New Smithville, Jean L. Greiss, Alburtis, Karen E. Tickner, Wellsboro, PA, Cathy A. Yeakel, Emmaus; Nephews, David Reifinger, Dalzell, SC, Michael A. DeLong, Emmaus, Douglas W. DeLong, Macungie.
Funeral Services are Friday, August 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment in the Union Cemetery of Bowers, Bowers. Friends may call Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
The family requests contributions to Christ (DeLong) UCC Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 99, Bowers, PA 19511. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
