Antonio Alaimo
Antonio Alaimo, 86, of Kutztown, formerly of 7118 10th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Maria (Sferrazza) Alaimo. They were married January 19, 1946.
Born in Castrofilippo Agrigento, Italy, he was a son of the late Rosario and Giovanna (Castellana) Alaimo. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. He formerly was a member of Regina Pacis Church, Brooklyn. He was a self employed laborer.
He is survived by Wife, Son, Rosario “Ross” husband of Antonia (Liotta) Alaimo, with whom he resided. There are also 4 Grandchildren, Maria R., Antonio G., Salvatore G., and Emmanuela A. Alaimo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 9:30 AM in Regina Pacis Church, 1230 65th Street, Brooklyn, NY. Entombment in Green – Wood Cemetery Hillside Mausoleum, III, Brooklyn, NY. Friends may call Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:30 PM in the Scarpaci Funeral Home, Inc., 1401 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY.
The family requests contributions be made to Saint Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adam Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
