Amy E. Bierkamp
 Amy Elizabeth Bierkamp, 27, of Sousley Road, Lenhartsville, died Friday, April 11, 2008 in her family residence. She was the companion of Allan M. Mertz, Kutztown.
Born October 6, 1980, she was a daughter of Thomas L. and Elizabeth A. (Gutekunst) Bierkamp with whom she resided. Her paternal grandparents are Boyd A. Bierkamp, Philadelphia, and the late Ellen M. (Coney) Bierkamp. Her maternal grandparents were Paul W. and Kathryn A. (Herbein) Gutekunst. She was a 1998 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and received and associate’s degree in Medical Assisting from Lehigh - Carbon County Community College, Schnecksville, in 2003. She was a student at The Reading Hospital & Medical Center School of Nursing, West Reading. Prior to that, she was a medical assistant at St. Luke’s Health Network, Allentown, last working in August of 2006.
She is survived by Parents, Paternal Grandfather, Companion, Sister, Jennifer A. Bierkamp, wife of Michael P. Waidelich, Kempton.
Funeral Services are Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Private interment in New Bethel Cemetery, Kempton, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday evening 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family requests contributions be made for research to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
